Dr. Anthony Fauci

Dr. Fauci was appointed Director of NIAID in 1984. He oversees an extensive research portfolio of basic and applied research to prevent, diagnose, and treat infectious diseases such as HIV/AIDS and other sexually transmitted infections, influenza, tuberculosis, malaria and illness from potential agents of bioterrorism. NIAID also supports research on transplantation and immune-related illnesses, including autoimmune disorders, asthma and allergies. The NIAID budget for fiscal year 2013 was approximately $4.5 billion. Dr.

Chris Mihm

As an Adjunct Professor at Syracuse University, Chris teaches graduate courses on public administration and democracy and performance management. He is the former Managing Director for Strategic Issues at the US Government Accountability Office (GAO) where he led GAO’s work on governance, strategy, and performance issues. He is also a fellow and former Board Chair of the US National Academy of Public Administration.

Curtis Coy

Curtis “Curt” L. Coy was appointed deputy under secretary for economic opportunity in the Department of Veterans Affairs on May 9, 2011. In this role, Coy oversees all education benefits (GI Bill), loan guaranty service (VA loans), vocational rehabilitation and employment issues.

Kathy Stack

Kathryn Stack is the Advisor for Evidence-Based Innovation at the U.S. Office of Management and Budget, helping Federal agencies to strengthen their capacity to use and build evidence to improve their effectiveness.  From 2005 to July 2013, she was OMB’s Deputy Associate Director for Education, Income Maintenance, and Labor, overseeing budget, policy, legislation, regulations, and management issues concerning the U.S. Departments of Education and Labor, the Social Security Administration, the Food and Nutrition Service of the U.S.

Larry Sampler

Donald “Larry” Sampler serves as Assistant to the Administrator in the Office of Afghanistan and Pakistan Affairs (OAPA) leading USAID’s efforts for the agency’s two largest missions. Mr. Sampler brings his considerable experience in the private sector, the military, and in post and intra-conflict missions of both the Organization for the Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) and the United Nations.

Mary Davie is the Assistant Commissioner for the Office of Integrated Technology Services (ITS) in GSA’s Federal Acquisition Service (FAS).

The Federal Acquisition Service provides buying platforms and acquisition services to federal, state and local governments for everything from office supplies to motor vehicles to information technology and telecommunications products and services.

Dr. Richard Beck

Dr. Richard Beck is presently the Department of the Interior’s Director for Planning and Performance Management. In this capacity, he is responsible for the office’s ability to provide leadership, guidance, and consulting services for the Department of the Interior on strategic planning, performance management, and organizational streamlining to improve decision making and effectiveness. Dr. Beck also serves as the Department’s Deputy Performance Improvement Officer.
