Agile and Inquisitive – the A.I. leadership!

This blog explores two leadership qualities essential for meeting the demands and challenges of a continuously evolving technological landscape.  With the promise of artificial intelligence (AI) no longer in some far-off future, government leaders must comprehend and harness both its perils and possibilities and doing that effectively will require these leaders to be agile and inquisitive - A.I. leadership. The ability to adapt to change and anticipate disruption and use both to your advantage rather than being sidetracked by either marks the qualities of an agile leader.

Citizen Satisfaction Rises.  NextGov reports: “Citizen satisfaction reached an 11-year high last year, rising 2.5 percent to 69.7 according to the American Customer Satisfaction Index, which rates federal agencies annually on a 0 to 100 scale.”

Reorg Update: USAID. According to Federal News Radio: “After getting the go-ahead from the State Department to proceed on their own hiring strategy, the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) released details Thursday on its proposal to reorganize the agency. . . . It’s unclear whether the reorganization would result in a net reduction in USAID’s workforce, but the agency will have to adapt to some budget cuts.”

The GPRA Modernization Act requires agencies to develop a set of 3-5 two-year priority goals and the Trump Administration posted its first set of goals for major agencies on an updated performance.gov website at the same time the FY 2019 budget was released.
