Dr. Timothy Persons

Dr. Timothy M. Persons was appointed the Chief Scientist of the United States Government Accountability Office (GAO) in 2008. In addition to leading advanced data analytic activities at GAO, he also serves to co-direct GAO’s Center for Science, Technology, and Engineering (CSTE), a group of highly specialized scientists, engineers, and operations research staff.

Thomas Sharpe

Thomas Sharpe was appointed Commissioner for the U.S. General Services Administration’s Federal Acquisition Service, effective February 10, 2013. 

In this position, he oversees the delivery of more than $50 billion of products, services and solutions that save taxpayer dollars and enable federal agencies to accomplish their missions as efficiently as possible.

Dr. David Shulkin

The Honorable David J. Shulkin was nominated by President Trump to serve as the ninth Secretary of Veterans Affairs (VA) and was confirmed by the United States Senate on February 13, 2017.

Prior to his confirmation as Secretary, Dr. Shulkin served as VA’s Under Secretary for Health for 18 months, leading the Nation’s largest integrated health care system, with over 1,700 sites of care serving nearly nine million Veterans.

Tiffany Hixson

Ms. Hixson is the Assistant Commissioner for the Office of Professional Services and Human Capital Categories, an office within the U.S. General Services Administration’s Federal Acquisition Service (FAS). She also serves as FAS’ Northwest-Arctic Region Regional Commissioner and is the governmentwide Professional Services Category Executive, appointed by the Office of Management and Budget in February 2016. Dr. Phyllis Schneck

Dr. Phyllis Schneck serves as the Deputy Under Secretary for Cybersecurity and Communications for the National Protection and Programs Directorate (NPPD).  She is the chief cybersecurity official for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and supports its mission of strengthening the security and resilience of the nation's critical infrastructure.

Bridget Gauer

Ms. Bridget Gauer joined the NIH Information Technology Acquisition and Assessment Center (NITAAC) as the Deputy Director in June 2015. Ms. Gauer is the Acting Director of NITAAC, setting the strategic vision for the NIH GWAC program, which consists of three vehicles valued at $60 billion (CIO-SP3 and CIO-SP3 Small Business and CIO-CS).

Todd Simpson

Mr. Simpson is the Chief Information Officer (CIO) at the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in Washington, DC. In this role, Mr. Simpson is responsible for providing information technology services and support to approximately 20,000 federal personnel and contractors that comprise the FDA community throughout the continental United States and internationally.

Brian Lee

Brian Lee serves as CDC’s first Chief Public Health Informatics Officer (CPHIO) for the Office of Public Health Scientific Services.

Brenda Smith

Brenda Smith serves as the Executive Assistant Commissioner, Office of International Trade, at U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP). Selected in the fall of 2014, Ms. Smith is responsible for the compliance of millions of cargo shipments that flow in and out of the U.S. each year. As Assistant Commissioner, Ms. Smith oversees a diverse portfolio of trade facilitation and enforcement matters.

Bill Marion

William E. Marion II is Deputy Chief, Information Dominance and Deputy Chief Information Officer, Washington, D.C. Mr. Marion assists in leading three directorates and supports 54,000 cyber operations and support personnel across the globe with a portfolio valued at $17 billion. He provides oversight of the Air Force’s Information Technology portfolio including the Information Technology investment strategy, networks and network-centric policies, communications, information resources management, information assurance, and related matters for the Department of the Air Force.
