Beth focuses her research, teaching and activism on the impact of technology on public institutions and solving public problems.

Bo McCall

Bo McCall is a student research assistant and graduate student in the Master of Public Administration (MPA) program at the University of Kansas. McCall specializes in performance management and community development. He has assisted Professor Alfred T. Ho in various research tasks, including content analysis of websites and policy documents, interviews and surveys of local officials, and data analysis. He has interned
with the city of Olathe, Kansas, and will begin to work for Kansas City, Missouri, in November 2016.

Alfred T. Ho

Alfred Tat-Kei Ho is a Professor of Public Administration at the University of Kansas School of Public Affairs and Administration in Lawrence, Kansas. His research focuses primarily on budgeting and financial management, performance management, and e-government.

Nicole W. Gardner

Nicole Gardner is a vice president in IBM’s Global Business Services (GBS) and leader of the Public Services Eminence Academy.  She is also a senior advisor and former leader of the U.S Federal Healthcare and Human Services team. In her Fed Health role, Ms. Gardner works with senior leaders from the Department of Health and Human Services, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, the Department of Veterans Affairs, the Defense Health Agency and military health system, and the Social Security Administration. Tom McMurtrie

Major Tom McMurtrie is an operations research/systems analyst in the U.S. Army currently serving as a Research Fellow in the Army’s Training with Industry (TWI) Program. In the TWI program, Major McMurtrie works with IBM—including time with IBM’s Center for the Business of Government—for one year before returning to the Army. His research fellowship is intended to develop his technical expertise and analytic leadership so that he can apply industry best practices in his future Army assignments.

Sreeram Visvanathan is a Managing Partner, Public Sector (Global) IBM Global Business Services. At IBM, he is responsible for covering business models and technology in the Middle East; he currently works in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates. His clients work in many different industries including government, defense, education and health care. He has a technical/engineering background complimented with his management experience and believes planning, preparation and collaboration are critical to internal and external stakeholders.

Claude Yusti

Mr. Yusti focuses on integrating technology solutions to meet business needs. He is a partner in Strategy and Analytics at IBM and leads the Cognitive Analytics and Content Management practices for IBM Global Services in the US Public Sector.

His experience includes engineering, manufacturing management, marketing and consulting. For the past 20 years, he has worked in the Federal, Healthcare, Education and State and Local Industries as well as with private sector companies in the United States, Canada and Latin America.
