Joy Lesnick joined NCEE to work on the What Works Clearinghouse. A former fourth grade teacher, Joy received her doctorate in educational policy from the University of Pennsylvania before heading to Vanderbilt University for an IES postdoctoral fellowship.

Joy Lesnick joined NCEE to work on the What Works Clearinghouse. A former fourth grade teacher, Joy received her doctorate in educational policy from the University of Pennsylvania before heading to Vanderbilt University for an IES postdoctoral fellowship. Prior to arriving in DC, she worked at Chapin Hall at the University of Chicago, where she was the project director for an impact and implementation evaluation of a large randomized controlled trial of a teen pregnancy prevention high school health curriculum. While in Chicago, she also worked at the Consortium on Chicago School Research, most recently on evaluations of comprehensive high school reform strategies, preservice teacher preparation programs, and coaching for new teachers in Chicago Public Schools.
