He is an award-winning author of Mastering Digital Business and Business Innovation & Disruptive Technology, a writer for CIO.com, a globally recognized keynote speaker, and a consultant focused on managing innovation and disruptive technology. Nick was formerly Research Vice President at Gartner advising global CIOs on innovation management as well as strategy, sustainability, and digital transformation. Prior to this he was global head of Innovation and a vice president and general manager within the Office of the CTO at Unisys. One of Consulting Magazine’s “Top 25 Consultants,” and one of ComputerWorld’s “Premier 100 IT Leaders,” he led the Applied Innovation program, an internal and client-facing worldwide initiative. He is the author of over ten books on business and technology strategy including titles from the British Computer Society, Financial Times Prentice Hall, Tech TV, Microsoft Press, and Powersoft Press. With over 25 years of consulting experience, Nick previously ran the global emerging technology consulting practice at BearingPoint (formerly KPMGConsulting). He also served as the national technical director for ebusiness at PwC. He cofounded the National Internet Consulting Practice for Coopers &Lybrand in 1997. A veteran technology entrepreneur, Mr Evans invented the Buy Now process for electronic auctions prior to eBay and holds some of the first social media patents now cited by hundreds of major corporations. He is the founder ofThinkers360, the world’s premier B2B thought leader and influencer community focused on global business, technology and sustainability topics. Nick holds Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees from Southampton University in England. He serves as a frequent advisor to the venture capital and startup community and has served on numerous boards. His extracurricular interests include traveling and triathlons, having been a long-time member of Team USA and U S National Champion in his age group divisionin 2019.
