Weekly Recap: Global Frugality and New US Projections…

This week, UK Chancellor George Osborne announced 20% spending cuts for the British government, with budget reductions impacting welfare, police, and councils.

The BBC reports that this is the largest budget cut in decades for the British government;.   http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-11579979. BBC Political Editor Nick Robinson provides his deep analysis of the impact of budget cuts on pension programs given demographic changes across Britain. 

It will soon be time to share lessons learned and routes to value developed by large organizations and governments around the world as they transform in ways that enhance mission effectiveness while reducing costs.

Also this week, TechAmerica announced their latest projections of  Federal IT Spending at the TechAmerica Vision conference.  The projections include a 5 year view for the civilan government and a 10 year view of the DoD.  If you missed the conference this week, link to the conference site and projections. TechAmerica was formed by the merger of AeA, ITAA, GEIA, and the Cyber Security Industry Alliance.
