Future Shocks Initiative.  The IBM Center for The Business of Government and the IBM Institute for Business Value, and in partnership with the National Academy of Public Administration (the Academy) and a range of other partners, launched the “Future Shocks” initiative to help government leaders further identify core capabilities critical to building resilience. We convened a series of international roundtable discussions with global leaders from across the public, private, academic, and nonprofit sectors to capture lessons across key domain areas. In each of these domains, insights from the roundtables were used to identify strategies and solutions for governments to address the challenges that lie ahead. This led to a series of reports on each domain as well as a final report, all found via the link above.

Addressing the New Era of Deterrence and Warfare: Visualizing the Information Domain. The Institute for the Study of War and the IBM Center for The Business of Government have launched a three-event series, “Addressing the New Era of Deterrence and Warfare: Visualizing the Information Domain.” This initiative resulted in several roundtables with leaders in Washington DC, Brussels, and the US Pacific Command in Hawaii; the final report is available here, and individual sessions were addressed in three separate blog posts.
