Zhoudan (Zoey) Xie is a senior policy analyst at the GW Regulatory Studies Center. Her research interests include economic effects of regulation, bureaucratic behavior in regulatory processes, and public participation in regulatory policy making. Prior to joining the Center, Zoey served as a consultant at the World Bank, where she conducted empirical economic analysis on cross-national macroeconomic and development issues. She also interned at the United Nations Environment Programme and several other international, nonprofit organizations. Zoey holds a master’s degree in public policy (M.P.P.) from the George Washington University and a master’s degree in environmental governance from Keio University (Japan). She is currently a Ph.D. student in economics at the George Washington University.
