John Langford is a Professor and the Graduate Adviser in the School of
Public Administration at the University of Victoria, in British Columbia.
His teaching and research interests are in the areas of public sector
governance, management, and ethics.
Dr. Langford has worked for or advised governments at all three levels
in Canada and Australia, and carried out projects in Eastern Europe and
the Asia-Pacific region for the government of Canada. He was a member
of the British Columbia (B.C.) Budget Process Review Panel in 1999, and advised the auditor general of B.C. on proposed revisions to the AG Act in 2000. He was a chief federal negotiator in the B.C. treaty process from 1993 to 2002. He is the author or editor of several books,
articles, book chapters, and reports. Langford holds a Ph.D. from McGill University, an MA from Oxford University, and a BA from Carleton University.
